Employee Spotlight – Lori

Name:

Lori Smith

Job Position:

Marketing Consultant

What special strengths do you bring to your role at Online-Access?

I bring a different perspective. Everything I know has been learned through all the years I have been working with companies across the country, companies of all sizes and different products and services. Working with so many different companies in different places, I have had the unique opportunity to learn the complexities of the industry. I never leave an interaction with a customer without learning something—all of which, I am more than willing to share to make the team stronger.

What aspect of your job do you love most?

Coaching business owners on the complexity of marketing and how interlaced marketing is with the daily activities of the business. Marketing is not just about sending out a postcard! An effective marketing plan involves every person on the team, every activity performed, every word spoken, written, or read. Pulling it all together builds an effective brand, translating into happier employees, thrilled customers who keep coming back and, ultimately, higher sales.

What are people often surprised to find out about you?

One of my favorite things to do is play in the dirt. I love to garden, mow the lawn, whatever, as long as it is outside …something my five children appreciated as they were more than willing to trade household chores with me to get out of mowing the lawn.

Which is your favorite super hero or cartoon personality?

Wonder Woman – because, after all, women are nothing short of a wonder!

What is the longest-shot item on your life’s bucket list? (the least likely to happen)

I have always wanted to spend some time living with a nomad tribe—not as a tourist, but as a member of the community, working, eating, sleeping, and learning the life they lead (and it would be awesome if I could contribute something of value while I’m at it).

If money were no object, what vehicle would be parked in your garage?

A Mustang convertible in light blue with tan top and tan leather upholstery. And, a Big Oversized Red Truck to haul dirt in!
